Andrographis Paniculata (of the family Acanthaceae) is a herb with traditional usage for fighting off colds and infection (usually in Chinese medicine although antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, choleretic, hypoglycemic, hypocholesterolemic, and adaptogen-like effects have been reported as well as being a gastric (stomach) and hepatic (liver) tonic.
